Summer Intensive

Join us for Issaquah Dance Theatre's Summer Intensive! Our program promises high-caliber training, a variety of styles, and a rigorous challenge for dancers eager to elevate their skills. This summer, commitment is key as dancers will embark on a week-long intensive, pushing themselves to their fullest potential. Please see more details below!

Guest Ballet/Pointe Teachers:

Level III/IV

  • Amanda Morgan (PNB Soloist): July 8, 10

  • Dammiel Cruz (PNB Soloist): July 22, 24, 26

Level IV/V

  • Leah Terada (PNB Soloist): July 29, 31, August 2

Am I required to sign up for the whole week?

  • Dancers are required to sign up for the full week of intensive classes. They can sign up for Session 1 or 2.

 

Which level do I sign up for?

  • Dancer’s should register for the level they were in for the 23/24 Season.

  • Level I - Sign Up for Level I

  • Level II or II/III - Sign Up for Level II/III

  • Level III or III/IV - Sign Up for Level III/IV

  • Level IV or V - Sign Up for Level IV/V

I’m new to IDT, do I need to audition?

  • Yes, dancer’s who are not enrolled in classes at IDT need to schedule an audition. Please email info@issaquahdance.com to schedule.

Do I need any dance experience to register for the intensive?

  • Yes, this program is not designed for beginners. Please check out the ongoing class schedule if you are new to dance!

 

Do you offer refunds?

  • We do not offer refunds for our summer intensive classes.

 

Who will teach at the summer intensive?

  • Teachers will include IDT Faculty such as Shannon Adams, Hailey Watters, Hayley Maddox, Danielle Wilkins, Hanna Orban, and guest teachers including Kristina Koumaeva and Dammiel Cruz, Amanda Morgan and Leah Terada from PNB. More guest teachers will be announced soon! We also have Pilates and injury prevention and nutrition seminars! 

 

Do I have to sign up for both weeks offered in my level?

  • You are only signing up for the week with the dates you selected (session 1 or 2). You are more than welcome to sign up for both, but we have two different weeks to provide more flexibility to our families who travel in the summer.

 

When is payment due?

  • Payment is due at time of registration. If you do not pay when registering your dancer, our system will automatically drop them from the intensive. If you have any potential scheduling conflicts, we suggest making sure your dancer is able to attend the intensive before registering, as we cannot issues refunds.
