AXiS DANCE COMPANY was successfully launched in the 2006 - 2007 school year and has grown to over 40 dance 'team' members and 4 levels:  Mini, Junior, Teen and Seniors. 

The mission of AXiS is to develop the dancer and even more importantly, the individual. Students benefit from heightened training according to what is age and level appropriate, gain exposure to a fusion of dance forms, and enjoy the camaraderie of being a part of a “team.” AXiS is for those students who LOVE to dance and LOVE to perform.

AXiS members have the opportunity to perform via competitions, conventions with classes and workshops, our own IDT performances and through local community events. The goal is for dancers to be their personal best and grow throughout the year. Participating in competitions is not to compete against another dancer, but rather for the student to work at his or her own personal best to improve each time and learn from mistakes and successes, which are life lessons.  Older students who are part of AXiS also learn life lessons such as balance, time management and taking care of their bodies through rest, nutrition and exercise.
